Bayern Munich outlasted Euroleague leaders Fenerbahce Istanbul by 90 points to 86 in a thrilling encounter at Munich's Rudi-Sedlmayer Halle on Thursday. Fenerbahce suffered only their third loss in 21 games as seventh-placed Bayern edged ahead in the second period of overtime. The Turkish champions had established a five-point lead by half-time, aided by a superb Ali Mohammed who had 23 points on the night. But there was nothing between the teams in the third and fourth quarters as Fenerbahce's Kostas Sloukas sent the the game into overtime with a last-gasp basket. Again, the teams matched each other point for point and were locked at 80 points apiece after the first period of overtime. Bayern finally drew clear in the second, winning 10 of the last 16 points to inflict a crushing blow on the league leaders.
