Basketball: LeBron nears return, but no date set

LeBron James continued his rehab on Wednesday (30th January), practicing with teammates at their training complex, getting closer to his return to the Los Angeles Lakers. The Lakers lost to the Philalelphia 76ers, 121-105, on Tuesday. Los Angeles has won only six times in 17 games since James was injured in a 25th December game at Golden State. The 34-year-old four-time NBA MVP strained his groin - the most significant injury of his 16-year NBA career. He had never missed more than 13 games in an entire season. The Lakers' coach Luke Walton did not tip his hand about James' return, though sources close to the team suggest it could be possibly on Thursday against the LA Clippers or Saturday against the Warriors.
