Golf: Syme and Soderberg share three-shot lead after Wales Open third round

Sweden's Sebastian Soderberg carded a bogey free 68 on Saturday to join long-time leader Connor Syme of Scotland at the top of the leaderboard heading into the final day of the 2020 Wales Open at Celtic Manor. The weather veered from glorious sunshine to high winds and heavy rain but Soderberg was a picture of consistency as he moved to seven-under. Syme has had at least a share of the lead after every round this week and he birdied the last in a 70 that took him back to the top of the pile. Finn Sami Valimaki was then three shots off the lead, one ahead of Italy's Edoardo Molinari and Belgian Thomas Pieters. English pair David Dixon and James Morrison, South African Dean Burmester, Frenchman Romain Langasque and German Marcel Siem were then all at two under.
