Mizoram’s Jeremy Lalrinnunga created history at the 2018 Youth Olympics Games when he became the first Indian to win gold at the mega event. He had finished with a personal best of 274 kg in the men’s 62 kg weight category in Buenos Aires. Youngster Jeremy wanted to follow in the footsteps of his boxer father but no sooner did the teenager see the unadulterated use of strength in weightlifting he had his heart set on the sport.
