Portuguese qualifier Joao Domingues brought the home fans to their feet and caused a big upset in the first round of the Estoril Open on Monday, by knocking out the number six seed, Alex de Minaur of Australia. The world number 214 took advantage of having already played two matches on the Estoril clay - and the fact that de Minaur had not been in action since his first round defeat at Indian Wells last month - to complete a 6-2, 2-6, 6-2 victory in an hour and 57 minutes.
