CoA, the body running the BCCI is in a supreme mess. There is no question that the Supreme Court appointed body is a divided house and now the differences between Vinod Rai and Diana Edulji are out in the open. Why we are saying this is because Edulji has asked BCCI office-bearers and senior employees to not follow Rai’s instructions unless they are endorsed by her. The rift between the two members is triggered by the coach selection for Women’s team. In an email to the BCCI office-bearers including the CEO Rahul Johri, Diana directed them to not act on Rai's instructions without her approval. Edulji has also opened a can of worms by touching upon the controversy that had engulfed the men's national team when Anil Kumble resigned as India coach and the CoA was left with little choice but to select a new one. The former India women's team captain in a letter written to Rai, accused the chairman and BCCI CEO Rahul Johri of breaking rules while appointing Ravi Shastri as the men's team coach in July last year.
