Football News: Premier League clubs in race to sign Bayern Munich defender

Manchester United and Arsenal are allegedly among the Premier League clubs interested in signing Bayern Munich full-back Noussair Mazraoui. The 25-year-old joined the Bundesliga giants on a free transfer last summer when his contract with Eredivisie champions Ajax expired.

Mazraoui, on the other hand, has battled for regular game time in 2022-23, starting only 10 of his 20 games across all competitions. The Morocco international has played just one minute in the last six games since the appointment of head coach Thomas Tuchel.

Thus, he is competing for a spot at right-back with both Benjamin Pavard and January loan acquisition Joao Cancelo. Mazraoui has expressed his displeasure with his current situation, but he believes it is too early to debate his future at the Allianz Arena.

"I am not happy with the current situation,"

the defender told journalist Maximilian Koch after Bayern's Champions League quarter-final exit to Manchester City on Wednesday.

"I started here before the World Cup, now I'm in good shape and I don't have playing time. I'm not even second or even third choice. It's too early to talk about my point of view, but it's not good."

Mazraoui's representatives, according to 90min, have begun to scout potential bidders for the defender ahead of a probable exit this summer.

According to the report, Manchester United and Arsenal are among the Premier League clubs who have been made aware of the Moroccan's condition.

Newcastle United, West Ham United, Wolverhampton Wanderers, and Crystal Palace have all been linked with the defender.

According to the source, prospective Premier League clubs will be kept updated on Mazraoui's condition if a possible move from the Allianz Arena gains traction.

Mazraoui is being pursued by a number of clubs, including Atletico Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, and Inter Milan, in addition to English clubs.

Mazraoui spent five years at Ajax before joining Bayern last summer, making 137 games in all competitions and collecting six trophies, including three Eredivisie crowns.
