Football: Jordan beats Syria 2-0 to qualify for next round in Group B of the AFC Asian Cup

Jordan booked their place in the Round of 16 after defeating Syria 2-0 in Group B of the AFC Asian Cup. Moussa Al Tamar gave the Jordanians a flying start. He scored in the 26th minute to give his side an early 1-0 lead. Tareq Khattab doubled the score with his header in the 43rd minute. Syria couldn't find a way back into the match as Jordan won it 2-0 and top Group B on 6 points. Syria are third in the standings - with just one point from two games.
