Pep Guardiola says Manchester City had to keep their levels high in order to respect both Burton Albion and the Carabao Cup, as they thrashed their opponents 9-0 - "We spoke about that at half-time, to be simple, to play simple, to let them run. Trying to score more goals is the best way to respect the competition and to respect the opponent. If you don't fight after that, and you forget to continue, you don't have respect for your opponent and you don't have respect for the competition. The best way is to do what you have to do for our future, and we have done that."
