Football: 10-men PAOK draw 1-1 against AEK in Greek Superleague

AEK hosted PAOK in the Greek Super League looking to inflict a first defeat of the season for the visitors. However, PAOK broke the deadlock after just ten minutes when Mauricio Jose found the back of the net from close-range after being picked out by Fernando Varela. It was the fourth goal of the season for the Brazilian. Things got complicated for the visitors when another Brazilian, Leo Jaba was shown a second yellow card after his challenge on Niklas Hult in the 32nd minutes. The second half was dominated by the home side with Argentinean Ezequiel Ponce eventually heading home in the 74th minute. PAOK remains on top of the table with 51 points, six more than Olympiacos in second place, and 14 ahead of third-placed AEK.
