American Travis McCabe claimed the yellow leader's jersey after winning stage three of the Tour de Langkawi on Monday in Malaysia. The Floyd's Pro Cycling team rider finished the 192.9-kilometre stage from Muar to Putrajaya on the outskirts of the Malaysian capital of Kuala Lumpur in 42:22.10 to take the overall lead from stage one winner Marcus Culey of Sapura Cycling. Matteo Pelucchi of the Androni Giocattoli–Sidermec team edged out Andrea Guardini of Bardiani-CSF for second in 4:22.15. McCabe (14:03.28) knocked leader Marcus Culey (+ 0.04) into second overall with Australian Michael Freiberg in third (+.13). Tuesday's stage four of the Tour de Langkawi moves into the mountains for a grueling 115.6-kilometre run from Shah Alam to Genting Highlands.
