Reigning world champion Marc Marquez pulled out of the Andalucia Grand Prix on Saturday - four days after undergoing surgery on a broken arm. Marquez abandoned the qualifying session, having finished Saturday's practice session with the 20th best time. Fabio Quartararo claimed pole for the second successive week at Circuito de Jerez-Angel Nieto thanks to a 1:37.007 in Q2. Maverick Vinales set a faster lap than the Frenchman, but his lap was cancelled due to exceeding track limits. Francesco Bagnaia will start from third on the grid. In Moto2, Marco Bezzecchi will start in pole position, while Tatsuki Suzuki was fastest in qualifying in Moto3.
