Football: Al Sadd thrash Qatar SC 8-1 in Qatar Stars League

Al Sadd thrashed Qatar SC 8-1 with hat-tricks from Baghdad Bounedjah and Akram Afif at Doha's Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium in the Qatar Stars League. Abdelkarim Hassan broke the deadlock in the 23rd minute with a wonderful left-footed strike from outside the box. Six minutes later Bounedjah was fouled in the penalty area by Omar Al Emadi and scored from the spot. Afif opened his personal account with a fantastic bicycle kick in the 35th minute and just before half-time was fouled in the box by Qatar SC goalkeeper Jasem Adel Al Hail with Hassan Al Heidos converting from the spot to make 4-0. Seven minutes into the second half, Baha'a Abdulrahman reduced the gap for the visiting side thanks to Al Sadd goalkeeper Saad Al Sheeb's blunder, but Afif and Bounedjah added two more goals each to wrap up the game 8-1.
