Shabab Al Ahli Dubai secured a 2-0 victory over nine-man Al Ain in the Arabian Gulf League at the Shabab Al Ahli stadium. Luvannor Henrique de Sousa gave the hosts the perfect start when he converted Abdulaziz Hussain's pass in just the seventh minute - although replays showed the Brazilian had strayed into an offside position. Al Ain's best chance fell to Tsukasa Shiotani, who crashed a volley against the post in the 22nd minute. The visitors' hopes of an equaliser grew increasingly slim, after they lost Mohanad Al-Anezi and Ibrahim Diaky in the space of eight second-half minutes following poor challenges.
