An Indian contingent including 54 athletes led by badminton player PV Sindhu arrived at the Narita International airport to begin their journey at the Tokyo2020 Olympics on Sunday. Athletes and officials from eight disciplines of archery, badminton, table tennis, hockey, judo, gymnastics, swimming and weightlifting landed in the Japanese capital from New Delhi in a chartered Air India flight. The Indian contingent were greeted at the airport by the Kurobe city representatives, who came with a banner "Kurobe supports Indian athletes!! #Cheer4India!." India are sending 119 athletes in total to the Tokyo Olympics, which will be held under strict health protocols and without spectators.
