Amit Khatri won a silver medal in 10000 m race walk on the penultimate day of the IAAF Under-20 World Athletics in Nairobi. The 17-year-old Rohtak lad made his international debut a memorable one winning India's first ever medal in race walk on the world stage. Amit surrendered the lead to Wanyonyi as the Kenyan powered away to hit the line in a personal best time of 42 mins 10.84 seconds, with Amit taking silver in 42 minutes 17.94 seconds. Amit Khatri is not satisfied with a silver medal. He is rather disappointed in missing out on a gold medal which clearly shows his hunger to thrive for the best.
