Hockey News: India women’s team all set to face USA in Olympic Qualifiers

A do-or-die final stage of the hockey qualifiers for the 2020 Olympics will see India's men's and women's teams face their respective opponents in Bhubaneswar on Friday and Saturday (November 1 & 2) in two matches each, with the winner on aggregate booking a ticket to Tokyo. The new qualifying format introduced by the International Hockey Federation (FIH) involves 28 teams -- 14 men's and 14 women's teams -- playing in seven qualifying events each, the draw for which happened in September this year. Six of those events were played from October 25 to 27 and the remaining will be played on November 1 and 2.
