Football News : PSG willing to offer Marcus Rashford £850,000-a-week contract

Marcus Rashford is apparently willing to accept Paris Saint-offer Germain's of an £850,000 per week contract, which would make him one of the highest-paid footballers in the world.

Since the 25-year-old's current contract with the 20-time English champions is set to expire next summer, he will be free to speak with international clubs in January as things stand.

Nasser Al-Khelaifi, the club president, has expressed interest in luring Rashford to Paris. Moreover, Rashford was heavily linked to PSG throughout the summer.

"He's another player that is really amazing,"

Al-Khelaifi told Sky Sports News.

"And for free? To have Rashford for free, every club would run after him, definitely."

"We're not hiding it, we spoke before and... interest. But the moment was not a good moment for both sides. Maybe, summer, why not?"

"Today if he's a free agent of course we can talk to him directly but we are not going to talk to him now. Let him focus on the World Cup. Then after in January, hopefully, if we're interested we will talk to him."

PSG is reportedly working on a generous package costing around £850,000 per week to entice Rashford to the club next year. This is according to The Mirror.

The prospects of the London club signing the Englishman on a free transfer, however, may soon be over as Red Devils manager Erik ten Hag has revealed that the team is getting set to activate 12-month extensions in the contracts of their out-of-contract players.

"We are talking to them to extend contracts, but we have control because we have an option on all the players and we will exercise those options"

said Ten Hag.

In 19 games for Man United this season, Rashford has tallied eight goals and three assists, and the attacker is in excellent shape heading into the World Cup.

Due to his club performances, the Red Devils academy product was selected for the England team for the tournament in Qatar. He performed well at the event, scoring three goals in five appearances.

On November 29, Rashford started against Wales and registered two goals, although he was only granted the final 25 minutes of the 3-0 victory over Senegal in the competition's round of 16.

The attacker then only played for the final five minutes of Saturday's quarterfinal defeat against France, which resulted in a 2-1 setback for the Three Lions and their elimination from the tournament.

On December 21, Man United will play Burnley in the EFL Cup. Six days later, against Nottingham Forest, Man United will play again in the Premier League.
