Football News : Man United rejected Memphis Depay, Christian Pulisic deals this summer

Nine other players were available for Manchester United to sign during the summer transfer season, according to reports.

The fan base became impatient with United at one point soon after Erik ten Hag arrived at Old Trafford as they waited patiently in the market. To change their fortunes on the field, the Red Devils finally added as many as six first-team players.

In the last weeks of July, Casemiro, Antony, and Martin Dubravka joined Lisandro Martinez, Christian Eriksen, and Tyrell Malacia.

Fabrizio Romano, a transfer analyst, claims that United was still given the opportunity to sign nine further players before the deadline of September 1. The most noteworthy of these is perhaps Memphis Depay, who in the final days of the transfer window was destined to leave Barcelona

However, the former United forward ended up staying at Camp Nou.

Another well-known name that club executives were presented with was Chelsea winger Christian Pulisic, but it was decided that the American international would stay at Stamford Bridge.

Prior to Casemiro's arrival, central midfielders were at the top of Ten Hag's list of desired players, and it is said that three players for that position briefly surfaced as candidates.

Meanwhile, Leandro Paredes, & Weston McKinnie of Juventus, and Moises Caicedo of Brighton ultimately decided against relocating to the North-West of England.

Sergino Dest, a defender for Barcelona at the time, had the option to transfer to United at one point before deciding to leave Camp Nou for AC Milan.

Despite rumours about his future, fellow right-back Thomas Meunier stayed at Borussia Dortmund, and at one point, Yannick Carrasco of Atletico Madrid appeared to be a viable possibility.

Hirving Lozano of Naples, who was considered a possible substitute for Antony, is the last name on the supposed shortlist.

After a terrible start to the 2017 Premier League season, United has since won four straight games to lie in fifth place after six games.

The Red Devils seemed to be improving in every match and thus the Manchester United fans are optimistic about the club's future under the guidance of Erik Ten Hag.
