Football News : Everton striker Richarlison agrees personal terms with Tottenham Hotspur

Richarlison, the Everton forward, is reportedly close to joining Tottenham Hotspur after reaching a personal agreement with the North London club. After a four-year stay at Goodison Park, where he assisted the Toffees in avoiding relegation to the Championship last season, the Brazil international is set to leave.

The striker has only two years left on his deal with Frank Lampard's team, who are rumoured to be open to letting the attacker depart this summer for the right price. Richarlison has long been associated with Tottenham, despite Chelsea's apparent attempts to sabotage a transfer for the 25-year-old at one point.

But now that the Blues are concentrating their efforts on getting Raphinha from Leeds United, Tottenham has a clear shot at Richarlison. The South American is expected to sign a "long-term" contract in the capital, according to transfer analyst Fabrizio Romano.

Romano continues, "Everton are running out of time to get their financial house in order." The transfer expert further adds "but they have scheduled another round of discussions in which they will try to hash out an agreement over a fee."

Meanwhile, The Toffees have till the end of the week to increase their bank account in order to go by the Premier League's profit and sustainability guidelines. Moreover, failing to do so could also result in a possible points deduction.

As a result, given the Toffees' dire financial circumstances, a further report from Sky Sports News claims: Spurs are bullish about concluding a deal for Richarlison within the next 24 hours.

The former Watford star, who is reportedly due to depart Everton after contributing 14 assists and 53 goals in 152 games for the club might join Spurs by the end of this week.

Richarlison was instrumental in keeping Everton in the top level last season with his 10 goals and five assists in 30 Premier League outings, but he has never finished higher than seventh with the Toffees.

Anthony Gordon, Richarlison's teammate, is also reportedly up for sale, but Everton is reportedly less willing to part ways with the 21-year-old.

Nevertheless, given that Tottenham has already signed Ivan Perisic, Fraser Forster, and Yves Bissouma this summer, a transfer for Richarlison would seem to be simple for them to complete.

Antonio Conte is also looking to strengthen his center-back position, and the Lilywhites are reportedly close to signing Clement Lenglet on a loan from Barcelona.

It was disclosed earlier on Wednesday that recent immigrant Bissouma, who was detained in October outside a Brighton nightclub, had been exonerated of a sexual assault charge.
