Newcastle United are about to finalise the £32 million signing of 22-year-old Dutch defender Sven Botman from Lille, but is prepared to give up on 20-year-old French striker Hugo Ekitike of Reims.

Tottenham wants to buy both English winger Anthony Gordon, 21, and Brazilian striker Richarlison, 25, from Everton in a package deal. Richarlison also interests Chelsea.

However, Everton is not interested in trading Richarlison for Gordon because Gordon has a contract with the Goodison Park club that expires in 2025.

Despite interest from Roma in the 27-year-old defender from Barcelona and France, Clement Lenglet, Spurs remain the clear favourites to sign him.
