Basketball: Player of the day - Russell Westbrook

Russell Westbrook was the star man for the Houston Rockets as they secured a huge win over the Milwaukee Bucks in the NBA. The former MVP scored 31 points as Houston prevailed 120-116 at the Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, Florida. Giannis Antetokounmpo put up another hugely impressive stat line for the Bucks, recording 36 points as well as grabbing 18 rebounds. His efforts were in vain though as Milwaukee became the first team ever to lose a game despite scoring at least 110 points, holding their opponents to under 40 per cent shooting and having a +25 rebound differential. The Rockets also became the first team ever to make 20 three-pointers, record 15 steals and turn it over 10 times or fewer in a game.
