Archery News: Archery Association of India gets its recognition back from Sports Ministry

It’s an all-joy phase for the Archery Association of India as the association has now been granted their recognition back after a long gap of eight years. The recognition has been given back on the condition that a vice-president and two joint secretaries will have to vacate their positions. The ministry had de-recognized AAI on December 7, 2012 over its failure to comply with National Development Sports Code 2011 as its president VK Malhotra had refused to demit office despite being in violation of the ministry’s age and tenure guidelines. Later, World Archery suspended AAI in August 2019 as the association got hit by internal politics and administrative turmoil.
