The Archery Association of India is planning to send its top archers for the Indoor Archery World Series, the inaugural edition, which will be held under the aegis of World Archery and will run till February 2021. The series will be an online event where archers from various nations will compete, an initiative by the parent body of archery to keep the global archers in the groove and to keep their competitive spirit alive. As per the rules of World Archery for this respective series, each national federation is allowed 100 entries, which will be organized into six categories across recurve, the Olympic discipline, and compound. Archers will shoot 60 arrows at 18 metres and can submit scores through a mobile app. The best three scores will be counted for the final ranking at the end of the series in February. Also, the AAI has kept open selection trials in the pipeline, which will be held from November 23-27 in Jamshedpur to give a fresh opportunity for the country’s second rung of archers.
