Archery News: AAI planning to resume operations in Jharkhand by February 2021

After COVID-19 pandemic had pressed a pause button over all the sporting activities, the sporting domain in the country is slowly and gradually starting to resume including archery, where almost all the archers were deprived of activity in wake of countrywide lockdown. The Archery Association of India, with the proper approval of the Indian government, had started a camp for senior archers ahead of Tokyo Olympics preparations and now are focusing on resuming its operations in the state of Jharkhand by February 2021. AAI is of the view that resumption of events and other tournaments is a must in the state and that it will also help in developing and promoting the game there as well. Recently, a meeting at JRD Tata Sports Complex in Jamshedpur took place which was chaired by the AAI president Arjun Munda, in which several strategies including how to promote and develop the game in the state was discussed. Authority also discussed the resumption of events and other issues.
