Gael Monfils recovered from a set down against fifth seed Daniil Medvedev to reach the final of the World Tennis Tournament in Rotterdam. Just a week after losing to the Russian in the Sofia Open semi-finals, the unseeded Monfils advanced 4-6, 6-3, 6-4, hitting 29 winners in a long and hard-fought battle. Currently ranked a career-high 16th in the world, Medvedev started strongly, but twice dropped serve in the second and third sets to seal his fate. Monfils will play either Kei Nishikori or Stan Wawrinka in the final as he aims to lift his first ATP Tour trophy since January last year
