Tennis News : Barty has -one of the most fulfilling moments- of her life as she visits sacred site

Australian Open champion Ash Barty made a spiritual visit to Uluru over the weekend, one of the most sacred sites in the entire country for Australia's indigenous peoples.

Barty, who has Aboriginal Australian roots, said she had always wanted to visit Uluru, also known as Ayers Rock and located in the Northern Territory.

In her role as an indigenous tennis ambassador, Barty played with children in the area and later held a clinic in nearby Alice Springs.

She called the visit one of the most fulfilling moments of my life.
