Tennis: Fognini beats Zverev in Monte-Carlo Masters third round

The 13th seeded Fabio Fognini got the better of third seed Alexander Zverev at the Monte Carlo Masters. The Italian's 7-6 (8-6), 6-1 win over his German opponent prompted raucous cheers from the large number of fans who crossed over the nearby border with Italy. Fognini should have plenty of support when he plays his next opponent, ninth seed Borna Coric of Croatia, who beat unseeded Frenchman Pierre-Hugues Herbert 6-4, 6-2.
