Tennis: Djokovic eases past Fritz in Monte-Carlo Masters third round

Novak Djokovic advanced to the quarter-finals of the Monte Carlo Masters by beating Taylor Harry Fritz 6-3, 6-0. The top seed Serb, a two-time champion at the clay-court event, converted his first match point. He will next play 10th seed Daniil Medvedev of Russia. Djokovic won his three previous matches against Medvedev, but Friday's match will be their first meeting on clay.
