Hockey News: Harmanpreet key member of the current Indian side

News coming in from the sport of hockey where the Indian skipper Harmanpreet Singh has been honoured with the 2018 Player of the Year award by the Asian Hockey Federation. Harmapreet was also a part of the victorious 2018 Asian Champions Trophy side where India were declared the joint winner along with Pakistan. He also been solid player in the backline and instrumental in the Indian defence. Along with Harmanpreet women's team striker Lalremsiami bagged the Rising Player of The Year prize and the The Indian men's team was awarded the Best Performance of The Year for being the only Asian side to have reached the top eight at the World Cup in Bhubaneswar.
