Strikers have been in high demand so far during this summer's transfer window and several of Europe's top teams have made significant investments in individuals they hope can propel them to victory next season.

Let's rank the top 10 most expensive strikers of all time who are aged 30 or more:

10 - Nikola Kalinic | Fiorentina to AC Milan | £20.25m | Age: 31

Nikola Kalinic moved to fellow Serie A team AC Milan in the summer of 2017 after amassing an amazing 33 goals and 10 assists in two seasons with Fiorentina.

09 - Marko Arnautovic | West Ham United to Shanghai Port | £22.5m | Age: 30

When Marko Arnautovic moved for £22.5 million from West Ham United to Shanghai Port in July 2019, He was one of several players who took the decision to forego playing in Europe in favour of the riches of the Chinese Super League.

Just six months prior, the Hammers allegedly turned down a £32.3 million bid from Shanghai Port to sign the forward. Nevertheless, the Austrian international was eventually allowed to move to the Red Eagles, where he scored 20 goals in 39 games.

Arnautovic's transformation into a center-forward at West Ham was accomplished by David Moyes, and over the course of his two-year stay in East London, he contributed to 34 goals in 65 appearances.

The Portuguese legend chose to test himself in Serie A with Juve after winning 16 championships with Real Madrid, including five Champions Leagues. Ronaldo spent three years at Juventus, scoring 101 goals in 134 games and winning two league championships before joining Manchester United again last summer for for £13.5 million.
