Football News : Three signings Manchester United have targeted for this summer

Tyrell Malacia, Christian Eriksen, and Lisandro Martinez are the three players that Manchester United have acquired this summer so far. However, the Red Devils are still searching for players in the market as they attempt to bolster their lineup for the 2022-23 season.

Uncertainty surrounds Cristiano Ronaldo's future at the club, and other players are predicted to leave before the transfer window shuts.

Thus, the Red Devils have now targeted 3 players and are looking to complete the 3 signings before the end of the summer transfer window.

Antony (Ajax)

Despite recent rumours to the contrary, Man United are apparently still quite interested in Ajax forward Antony despite the latter's exorbitant asking price.

The Brazilian international is thought to be valued at at least €70 million (£59.9 million), which may be challenging for the Red Devils given their pursuit of Frenkie de Jong of Barcelona.

The 22-year-old was in excellent form for Ajax during the 2021-22 season, making 33 appearances across all competitions while tallying 12 goals and 10 assists.

It would not be surprising to see Man United sign Antony before the transfer season closes because they have struggled to fill the right-sided attacking slot in their lineup in recent years.

Frenkie de Jong (Barcelona)

The controversy surrounding Frenkie de Jong's transfer is still ongoing, and Man United is taking their time with any potential deal for the Dutch international. The 20-time English champions and Barcelona are thought to have reached an agreement for the former Ajax starlet, with the sum reportedly coming to €85M.

The former Ajax prodigy will reportedly cost Man United €75 million (£63.5 million) plus add-ons to get him to Old Trafford, but the midfielder is still reportedly desperate to stay at Barcelona.

The Dutchman is presently travelling with the Barcelona team in America, and he reportedly hopes to persuade the Catalan club to keep him on staff this summer.

Due to their own significant transfers during the current transfer window, Xavi's team is under pressure to make a significant sale in the current market, and the club is still pressing for the 25-year-old to leave despite his status as a crucial player.

Denzel Dumfries (Inter Milan)

Denzel Dumfries, a Netherlands international who joined Inter Milan from PSV Eindhoven last season, is reportedly a favourite of Man United manager Ten Hag. During the 2021-22 season, the 26-year-old contributed five goals and seven assists in 45 games across all competitions for his Italian side.

The 24-year-old right-back is reportedly surplus to requirements at Old Trafford, thus the Red Devils will only look for another right-back this summer if Aaron Wan-Bissaka leaves.

The rumours during preseason have suggested that Diogo Dalot, a right-back for Portugal, will keep his position as the club's starting right-back for the upcoming campaign.

However, Dumfries would give significant competition for Dalot if he were to join, and it has been stated that Inter, who are eager to lower their salary cost over the summer market, would entertain a bid in the neighbourhood of €30 million (£26 million).
