According to reports, Manchester United would compete with Atletico Madrid for Roma forward Paulo Dybala. In the summer of last year, Dybala agreed to a three-year contract with Jose Mourinho's team after his Juventus term expired.
In his 24 competitive games this season, the Argentine has rapidly established himself as a key member of Roma's squad. This season Dybala has registered 12 goals and dished out seven assists so far.
Although he has a contract with the team through June 2025, much speculation surrounds Dybala's future with the club right now. According to reports, the 29-year-contract old's contains a €12 million (£10.6 million) release clause.
Thus, this makes him a desirable option for several European teams. Man United is rumoured to be one of the teams showing interest in the Argentina international.
When Wout Weghorst's loan agreement expires at the end of the season, it is anticipated that he will leave the Red Devils. While Harry Kane of Tottenham Hotspur and Victor Osimhen of Napoli have both been linked to Manchester United.
But Man United may be tempted to strengthen their final third with the less expensive option of Dybala. Fichajes claims that the Red Devils may have to compete with Atletico, who are also contemplating a summer move for Dybala.
Memphis Depay's acquisition from Barcelona to Atletico in January increased their attacking options, but they are still looking to enhance their team.
According to the sources, Inter Milan, the current Coppa Italia champions, are also eager to sign Dybala after being previously connected to the Argentine throughout the summer.
Dybala recently claimed that he was focused on helping Roma advance to the Champions League despite rumours about his future.
If they don't place in the top four, there is a rumour that he might try to leave the Stadio Olimpico.
Roma's hopes of qualifying for the Champions League were dashed on Tuesday as they suffered their first Serie A loss of the year against Cremonese.
As a result of their unexpected loss on Tuesday, Lazio, who are now in fourth place, are now one point ahead of fifth-placed Roma.
If the Giallorossi succeed in winning the Europa League, they may potentially be eligible for Europe's premier club competition.
