Football News: Al-Ittihad makes lucrative offer to sign Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah

This summer, Al-Ittihad are allegedly interested in signing Liverpool star Mohamed Salah.
Salah committed to a new long-term contract at Anfield little over 13 months ago, pledging his future to the club until the end of 2024-25.

During Jurgen Klopp's side's poor season, the Egypt international went on to register 29 goals and 15 assists in all competitions.

While Liverpool are in a solid position to retain his services for the coming season, it is no secret that Saudi Arabia is interested in signing him.

According to reports, the prevailing belief is that offers from the Saudi Pro League will emerge in 2024, when Liverpool would genuinely have to make decisions about how to handle the likelihood of a Salah departure.

However, the spending binge in that division has resulted in the league becoming considerably better than many expected at this stage of its development.

Al-Ittihad, according to Arriyadiyah, are making every attempt to sign Salah before the summer transfer window closes.

According to the source, talks between the league winners and Salah have already begun, with the 31-year-old reportedly in line to get a more lucrative deal than the majority of players who have already relocated to the Middle East.

According to Al-Riyadiah, Salah may earn €90 million (£77.64 million) every season over a two-year contract.

Furthermore, it is reported that Liverpool would be presented with a £60 million bid to sell Salah, which would most likely be rejected.

Fabinho and Jordan Henderson have already left Liverpool for Saudi Arabia for a combined fee of £52 million, while Roberto Firmino has moved to the same region on a free transfer.

Klopp is yet to find replacements for the aforementioned two midfielders, but another central forward is on his radar if an opportunity arises.

Salah has shown no hint that he will leave Liverpool at this point in his career, having turned down interest from European clubs last summer in order to extend his contract.
