Sengalese striker Papa Omar Faye struck the winner on the hour mark as Hanoi FC beat fellow Vietnamese-team Becamex Binh Duong by one-nil (1-0) in the second leg and win 2-0 on aggregate to win the ASEAN zonal final of the AFC Cup competition in Hanoi, Vietnam on Wednesday. After a goalless first half, Papa Omar Faye lashed home from a corner kick to score the only goal of the match and give the hosts a 2-0 advantage on aggregate. Hanoi FC will now play Altyn Asyr of Turkmenistan in the inter-zone semifinal of the AFC Cup.
