Football: Al Duhail held 1-1 by Al Sadd in AFC Champions League last-16

Al Duhail came back from a goal down to hold Al Sadd 1-1 in the AFC Champions League Round of 16 first leg tie. Akram Afif opened the scoring in the 30th minute - Youssef Msakni levelled, 14 minutes later. On his debut as Al Sadd head coach, Xavi Hernandez was furious at a fruitless penalty appeal deep in stoppage time, with the former Barcelona midfielder firing his shoe into the sky. The second leg is next Tuesday - with the winners facing either Al Nassr of Saudi Arabia or Al Wahda of the UAE in the quarter-finals.
