Delhi beat Rajasthan by 13 runs in Dubai to go on top of the IPL 2020 points table replacing defending champions Mumbai with 6 wins in 8 matches. Delhi Capitals won the toss and opted to bat first but got off to a poor start with Jofra Archer cleaning up Prithvi Shaw for a duck. Ajinkya Rahane too was dismissed early. Shikhar Dhawan top scored for Delhi with 57 and captain Shreyas Iyer scored 53 and shared an 85-run stand for the 3rd wicket to revive Delhi from the early blows. Chasing 162-run target Rajasthan were 86/3 in the 11th over when Ben Stokes was dismissed scoring 41. They lost five for 52 inside the next nine overs and were restricted to 148/8. South African duo of Anrich Nortje and Kagiso Rabada stifled the batting side for runs in the 'death' overs to take the game away from them. Nortje also broke the record for the fastest ball in the tournament's history twice, his fastest delivery was timed 156.2 Km/hr.
