The win takes two time champions Kolkata to fourth spot temporarily due to the two point lead they gain over Hyderabad. In another match Chennai beat Punjab by 9 wickets at Sheikh Zayed in Abu Dhabi knocked Punjab out of the play-off race and registered their 3rd consecutive win of the season. Chennai won the toss and put Punjab to bat first where KL Rahul led side suffered a collapse after a 48-run opening stand between captain KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal.
