Wheelchair Cricket India Association is making the nation proud, not just in the country but also on a global level, but the association is continuously trying to come under BCCI’s ambit for obvious reasons that getting associated with such a strong and powerful body will not just provide them a confidence but also a hefty financial assistance, which the association is lacking as of now. If going by the facts then as per the reforms mandated by the Supreme Court-appointed Lodha Committee, the BCCI was supposed to create a committee for the development of physically challenged cricketers in India but the cricket board is yet to fulfil its constitutional obligation. BCCI president Sourav Ganguly had also discussed the issue with the CEO of Wheelchair Cricket India Association some time back.
