After the World Cup debacle, it looks like that the Board of Control for Cricket in India is being too conscious in selecting the next coach for the team, more specifically a person with strong management skills. The applications for the head coach and support staff have been invited by the BCCI with Ravi Shastri and his team given automatic entry in the recruitment process. The deadline for the applications expires today and the shortlisted candidates will be interviewed by a Cricket Advisory Committee comprising cricket great Kapil Dev, former batsman and coach Anshuman Gaekwad and former women’s captain Shanta Rangaswamy. Former India coach Anshuman Gaekwad said that the person leading team India will have to be a good man-manager and also a good planner for which he said, that the technical planning is a most important factor that will play a key role. Now, Indian captain, Virat Kohli has also said that he wants Ravi Shastri to continue as team India coach as he is having a jovial tuning with all the team members and as well as the supporting staff.
