The Australian Ambassador to Thailand together with the Australian Consul-General to Phuket and friends of cricket star Shane Warne arrived at a police station in Samui to give official statements following the death of the cricket player yesterday.
Thai police said a forensic team will inspect the villa where Warne was found unresponsive as a part of the legal procedure in a case involving death.
Shane Warne dies at 52 years old. He was considered to be the greatest bowler in cricket history and helped Australia win the World Cup in 1999. He was also part of five Ashes-winning teams during his career.
Fox Sports television quoted a family statement as saying Warne died of a suspected heart attack in Koh Samui, Thailand.
