Chess News: New twist & turns in All India Chess Federation

The All India Chess Federation it seems like has been ensnared itself in a tug of war, a war of holding the position, a war of allegations and indeed a habitué of knocking the legal doors every now and then. The federation has been divided into two factions, one led by Mr. Bharat Singh Chauhan and the other by Mr. P.R Venkatrama Raja. Last month, the picture looked somewhat clear when the Returning Officer Kafikulla declared five members of Bharat Singh Chauhan as the office-bearers of AICF with FIDE also updating their names on the AICF website but a few days later, the scenario took a U-turn and everything got wrapped up under the clouds.
