Chess News : AICF Polls- Chauhan camp had the last laugh, what’s next for AICF?

With election process being concluded at the All Indian Chess Federation, the Bharat Singh Chauhan camp had the last laugh in what was assumed to be a never-ending tussle between the two factions led by PR Ventakrama Raja and Bharat Singh Chauhan respectively. Last month, the Madras High Court had directed that the All India Chess Federation (AICF) elections be held in Chennai on February 10 and in fact faction led by Mr. Raja had insisted that the election should be held as per National Sports Development Code 2011. Also, the Returning Officer Kafikulla had rejected the nominations filed by 23 persons which included the then incumbent president Raja.
