MC Mary Kom who has participated in the World Championships since its inception in 2001 clinched her 8th medal at the Championships as she won a bronze in the 51 Kg weight category. Mary Kom, a six-time champion became the most successful boxer in World championship history by winning her eighth medal. With 51 kg being an Olympic event, this was also Mary Kom’s first ever World Championship medal in this weight category
