Badminton News: Sourabh Verma wins Vietnam Open & Lakshya Sen wins Belgian International

Indian shuttler Sourabh Verma beats Sun Fei Xiang of China 21-12, 17-21, 21-14 in the final to win the Vietnam Open BWF Tour Super 100 in Ho Chi Minh City. Sourabh Verma sealed the first game with ease but faltered in the subsequent game. The third game was a closely-fought affair with the two players locked at 6-6 but after that Sourabh Verma took the game by the scruff of its neck. Lakshya Sen stuns second seed Victor Svendsen of Denmark in straight games to clinch the men's singles title at the Belgian International Challenge. The rising Indian shuttler was at his best as he notched up a convincing 21-14 21-15 win over Svendsen in the title clash that lasted for 34 minutes.
