Not only in singles, but in doubles as well the Indian shuttlers are turning it on. In Women's doubles, Indian pair of Aparna Balan and Sruthi KP beat Hong Kong's NG Wing Yung and Yeung Ting in a hard fought 3-game encounter that lasted for 50 minutes to enter the quarter-finals. Aparna Balan and Sruthi KP won the opening game and then went on to lose the second game. After trailing initially in the 3rd game, they made a strong comeback to win the match and enter the quarter-finals. The see-saw battles saw Indian pair winning the match 21-19 7-21 21-17.
