Elina Svitolina defeated Sofia Kenin 7-5, 7-6 in the purple group stage match to advance in semis of WTA semi-finals. The Defending champion waited till her 6th match point to beat the American alternate to maintain her unbeaten record at the 2019 WTA Finals.
