World number 51 Jan-Lennard Struff defeated former world number three Grigor Dimitrov in three sets - 6-4, 6-7 (5), 6-3 in the first round of the Italian Open in Rome. In the second round, Struff will face number nine seed Marin Cilic, who started the tournament with a 6-1, 7-5 win over Andrea Basso.
