Garbine Muguruza cruised into the second round of the Italian Open in Rome on Tuesday, with a 6-1, 6-2 victory over Romanian lucky loser Patricia Maria Tig. Tig came in as a late replacement for Madrid semi-finalist Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova, who withdrew from the tournament earlier in the day. Tig proved no match for the number 12 seed, who took just 67 minutes to complete her win. Muguruza will take on world number 69 Bernarda Pera of the United States next
