Tennis : Halep defeats Bencic to reach Madrid Open final

Third-seed Simona Halep of Romania defeated Switzerland's Belinda Bencic 6-2, 6-7(2), 6-0 to reach the Madrid Open final. Halep, a two-time winner in Madrid, now will face either Sloane Stephens or Kiki Bertens in the final.
